Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance? What are your payment options?

I am an in-network provider with Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. For clients with other insurance carriers, I provide "superbills" to assist you in seeking out-of-network reimbursement.

Private pay options are also available. Payments are conveniently accepted via credit card, HSA, and FSA.

Do you offer in-person or telehealth sessions?

I currently offer services exclusively via telehealth for adults across the state of Texas.

How long does counseling typically last?

Counseling sessions last 50-55min. The overal length of counseling depends on each client’s unique needs and goals.

What is the “goodness of fit” consultation?

This free, 15-minute phone call is a chance for me to hear about your concerns and for you to ask any questions you may have about myself or my counseling approach to ensure we are a good match before committing to a full session.

How do you address ADHD in adults?

Managing adult ADHD starts with a fundamental step: pinpointing how your symptoms affect your life and functioning. While there is no single cure for ADHD, adults can learn powerful skills. I help adults master new strategies, understand underlying behavior patterns, and reframe unhelpful thoughts so you can manage challenges like forgetfulness, procrastination, social unawareness, and lack of focus.

Do you diagnose ADHD?

Yes, I conduct comprehensive ADHD evaluations. A detailed report summarizing the findings is included and provided to you at the conclusion of the process.

If you need this evaluation for testing accommodations (SAT, ACT, LSAT, MCAT, etc.) or for legal matters (worker's compensation, etc.), please specify during your consultation so I can tailor the documentation to meet those specific criteria.

What is Biblical Counseling, and how is it different from general counseling?

Biblical counseling fully integrates Christian faith and the truth of the Bible into the counseling process. Through viewing life challenges through a spiritual lens, I work collaboratively to help you address concerns and live a life that is consistent with Biblical principles and glorifies God.

Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?

No, adults from all backgrounds, faith traditions, and walks of life are welcome. Please note that my counseling work is grounded in a Christian worldview, meaning our discussions and guidance will be informed by Biblical values. My commitment is to serve you with respect, regardless of your personal beliefs.
